A valentines love note from your San Francisco Photographer

This is our 16th Valentine’s together! In 4 short years, we will have been together for 20 years. That makes me sound old! He’s my HS sweetheart so that will take a little off my age. Regardless, I am embracing and taking in every moment and every year I get to spend with this man. Over the last 16 years we have grown so much from who we were when we met. Not just grown as individuals but WITH each other.

I could have posted a perfect photo of us, but I love this photo. It tells more of who we are. We are not perfect. We are mixed with failures, triumphs and humor. We are adventurous and lazy. We are foodies who enjoy fitness. But most of all, we are WE. Together we have built a home, a family and careers.

I never know what tomorrow will bring. In the past, we have had tomorrow’s that brought heartache, stress and worries. We have had tomorrow’s that have brought laughter, excitement and accomplishment. What I do know, is that we get to spend our tomorrows together. From taking unsuccessful selfies to traveling the world. From booking work to worrying about if we will have enough work to pay our bills. Every road, every up and down, we get to spend it together.

Thank you to our family and friends who have supported us and our love the last 16 years. We have grown into better humans because of each other and we have grown into better humans because of you.

What makes a great photo to me, is smiles. The real laugh out loud kind of smiles. Danielle had no shortage of those for me. Not only does she have one of the prettiest smiles around but it lights up the room and makes anyone around smile.  For me, that makes an amazing wedding photograph. Brazilian room wedding | Jenna and Gabe

In the midst of the holiday season it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of life. We have last minute Christmas shopping to take care of, homes to clean before guests arrive.  Boy do we know the traffic and crowds are testing our limits. In the mess of all of this we forget what the season is all about. It’s about being joyous, gathering with close friends and family sharing laughs, drinks and stories. It’s about taking it easy and remembering the love we share for one another and the lives that we have now , how truly lucky we are to be alive.

Jenna and Gabe knew exactly that. They brought all of their family and friends together to celebrate love, stories , laughter and their marriage. There was no room for to worry about anything else. Jenna’s laughter and smiles made everything perfect. The rain couldn’t even put a damper on their happiness. They enjoyed every moment of their wedding, rain and all at this Brazilian Room wedding.

Berkeley City Club Wedding | Sylvia and Frank

Sylvia and Frank had their wedding at the Berkeley City Club this past June. The club has a traditional elegance and this wedding MADE for the club.  I can go on and on about weddings and how fun they are to photograph, or how much this couple rocks, but it would take you longer to look at the photos! So I’ll stop, but not without saying congratulations to Sylvia and Frank! It truly was an honor to meet you both and be a part of your wedding.

Dance with me in the rain

It’s the end of March and the beginning of Spring. Starting today our wedding season starts. I’m soooo excited! I can’t wait to see all of my beautiful brides and grooms celebrate their love on their wedding day in their gorgeous gowns and beautiful locations.  Adam and I wanted to get in a few shots of just the two of us to start of this season’s love with a bang. Adam you support me in everything  I do from wanting to take pictures in the rain to building a wonderful business. You even support me when my chicken comes out of the oven way too dry. I love you so very much and am thankful to have such a wonderful and talented partner in the field and in my life. To a fabulous 2012!
